Principles Re: Property Rental

  1. Create a "sliding scale" for prices, geared to the renter's financial resources; for example:
    • Rate for for-profit, government and non-profits whose event involves ticket sales or substantial registration fees for participants
    • Rate for charities and community groups
    • Rate for self-help groups and community organisations holding public events for a better Brampton
  2. Create rates for large, medium, and small concerts or conferences
(e.g. large = over 350; medium would be between 150 and 349; small would be up to 149)
  3. Create a flat room rate (including operator, equipment, and piano) that reflects the "sliding scale" factors and the size of concerts/conferences.
  4. Create an event set-up cost for very large or challenging events (e.g. dinner theatre), which includes piano tuning, custodial overtime, etc.
  5. Create a separate rate for long-term rentals that is reasonable for both parties.
  6. Define the maximum day rate a group in each category would need to pay to hold their event. (See 1 and 2 above.)
